Vino Verano

summer-wineIn the summer in Spain, you can find this traditional drink anywhere, from fine dining restaurants to dive bars. It’s offered pre-mixed, but most people make it themselves because it’s an easy way to repurpose red table wine. Also called Tinto de Verano (translating as “summer wine”, the drink lightens the mouthfeel of red wine and the fresh lemon juice adds a subtle bite – for nights when you want something else than a rosé.
