In 1994, Château Larose Trintaudon, a major French wine producer from the Bordeaux region, partnered with traditional wine producers from the Totihue region in Chile and together they founded Casas del Toqui. Recently, their legacy was recaptured by a Chilean family with a great passion for wine, contributing with their own unique and distinctive mark.
The vineyard, situated at the far Sout-East of the Cachapoal river valley in the foothills of the Andes, benefits from exceptionally good climatic conditions. The alternating hot, sunny days and cool nights bring the grapes to full raipensess between the end of February and mid-April, when they are hand picked. The careful vinification and ageing in American and French oak barrels for a year bring out the generosity and noble character of the Cabernet.
